Concept — Instructional Strategist Intro Video
A ≤30-second strategist intro so the participant meets the IS before arriving. It spans three roles (IS authors, PM approves, Participant watches) and is a small feature with an outsized relationship-building payoff.
Lifecycle across three roles
IS records [A1] ──► PM approves [A1] ──► auto-associate [A2] ──► Participant watches [A2]
≤30s (max 45s) review queue to school/workshop on workshop open
save to profile approve/reject/ assignment
request changes
Specs
- Length: ≤30 sec target, max 45 sec.
- Profile-based: saved to the IS profile; auto-associates to every assignment once approved.
- Approval-gated [A1]: not active until the PM approves. PM has a review queue (approve / reject / request changes).
- Auto-association [A2]: when an IS is assigned to a school/workshop, the participant-facing intro section shows that IS’s video. If the assignment changes, the displayed video updates.
- Fallback: if no video exists → “intro video coming soon” placeholder + admin alert logged.
Engagement signal
% watched intro video is tracked [E2] and surfaces in the IS Strategist Insights — a leading indicator of cohort engagement, visible ≥3 days before the engagement alongside % logged in.
Why it earns its place
The platform’s job is behavioral, and behavior change rides on trust in the coach. A 30-second face-and-voice intro converts an anonymous “workshop” into “my strategist’s session” before day one — cheap to produce, compounding in effect.
